Italian-born Sonia’s marriage to Rajiv Ghandi, who was
assassinated while Prime Minister in 1991, eventually lead her to be
seen as one of the most powerful politicians in India in her role as
leader of the Congress Party.
Rani Singh’s biography has brought accolades from Mikhail
Gorbachev who has written the foreward, and from Henry Kissinger. Both
admired the author’s insightful and personal analysis of one of
the most enigmatic female leaders of today who they knew well alongside
her husband.
